Geography
Karakurissi Grama Panchayat is a rural local self-government area in the Palakkad District of Kerala. It lies in the Mannarkkad region, about 32–33 km from Palakkad town and close to NH 966.

- Location: Situated in eastern Palakkad district under Mannarkkad Taluk.
- Area: Around 26–27 sq. km.
- Terrain: Mostly rural landscape with:
- small hills and slopes,
- agricultural plains,
- coconut groves,
- paddy fields,
- and scattered rocky hillocks.
Parts of the area have laterite soil and undulating topography.
Boundaries
According to local body records, the panchayat is bordered by:
- North: Tachampara and Mannarkkad Panchayats
- South: Kadampazhipuram Panchayat
- East: Tachampara and Karimba Panchayats
- West: Kumaramputhur and Karimba Panchayats
Climate
The region has a tropical monsoon climate with:
- heavy rainfall during southwest monsoon,
- warm summers,
- and moderate temperatures throughout the year.
Natural Features
Important geographical characteristics include:
